Missing teeth should be replaced immediately as their loss affects both the health and the aesthetic of the mouth. The dentist, depending on the case, may choose to use bridges or individual movable dentures.
The Crown is a tooth-shaped porcelain construction used to restore the tooth. When the tooth has been damaged and a very large filling needs to be made, then we choose to repair the damage with a crown.
The bridge restores the missing tooth. In order to use bridges, there must be strong teeth to be placed on.
The bridges are permanent – immobile structures that fit on strong teeth to replace missing teeth in between.
The partial dentures are movable constructions that easily enter and exit and restore the teeth gap. They are a solution when there are no teeth on which a bridge could be supported.
The total dentures are mobile constructions and are used when all the teeth of the mouth are missing.
And, of course, there is also prosthetics on implants (crowns, bridges and dentures) where there are no longer the necessary roots to support permanent prosthetic restoration.
